Where's that darn finish line?

Good advice to anyone who does endurance events, and especially to Audrey, who's racing the Goofy Challenge this weekend (half marathon on Saturday, full marathon on Sunday)... good luck, have fun, say hi to Mickey and remember this advice from a distance runner profiled by SFGate.com/

Be patient and remember: They don't move the finish line. Just keep moving and you'll make it.

A cousin who is a slow endurance runner completed the Chicago Marathon this year in the back of the pack. It was a big goal for her, and she was really proud of her accomplishment. Her mantra, stolen from a friend: "Forward is a pace." Awesome.

Kristen - love it. Forward is definitely a pace. That's how I feel during the swim part of the triathlon... except that sometimes it's like I'm going BACKWARDS when off-course! Backwards - NOT a pace :)

Congratulations, Audrey!!!
